What is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is a safe, non-surgical technique invented in 1952 by Dr. Michel Pistor, a French physician. The French Academy of Medicine has recognized Mesotherapy as a medical specialty since 1987. Through a series of multiple injections, medications are delivered directly into the mesoderm, the layer of fat and connective tissue found under the skin. Mesotherapy is a method of delivering medications directly to the area being targeted for treatment.

Is Mesotherapy safe?

Yes, Mesotherapy is safe. It was developed over 50 years ago and continues to evolve. All medications are FDA approved although they are used for off-label use

How does Mesotherapy work?

Minute amounts of naturally occurring plant extracts, homeopathic products, vitamins, minerals and pharmaceutical agents are microinjected directly into the areas being treated. Our Meso-TrimT injection system uses the most advanced microinjection technology to minimize patient discomfort and maximize results. Who is an appropriate candidate for Mesotherapy treatments?

Ideal candidates for Mesotherapy are healthy adults from 18 to 75 years of age.

Who should not consider Mesotherapy?

Patients with any of the following conditions are not candidates for Mesotherapy:

Pregnancy

Taking blood thinners

Insulin-dependent diabetics

A history of a stroke or blood clots

Taking medication for heart arrhythmias

Severe heart disease

Cancer

Your medical history will be fully discussed during your pretreatment consultation. Please make sure Dr.Pakula is made aware of ANY medications you are taking.
How many treatment sessions are required

Dr Pakula use homeopathic doses of medications in their injections, given 1 week apart over a period of 8-15 weeks. Dr. Pakula believes that higher energy of medications bring about faster results at a much lower cost.

Are there any side effects of Mesotherapy?

The most common side effect is bruising, which is minimized by using the latest in microinjection technology. The bruising usually only lasts a few days and improves with time
A rare side effect of Mesotherapy is the formation of nodules. A small, pea-like hardening may appear under the skin. Usually only noticeable by touch, these formations are not serious and will dissolve by themselves, disappearing after a few weeks, or at most, months.

Do the results last?
Our bodies are changing every day, as aging is a dynamic process. You will need to address the symptoms of aging over time.

Can Mesotherapy be used as part of an anti-aging strategy?

What can I expect during my first session?
